“DOR” – A documentary theatre production about children waiting for their parents who have migrated abroad. It’s an educational performance for children in rural areas. The performance concludes the theatre workshop led by Silvia Roman at Lapus Elementary School, Maramures, Romania, during which dozens of children were encouraged to tell their own story through exercises in dramatic writing, acting, improvisation, all related to the situation of children in Romania growing up alone, with parents working abroad. The play tells the real story of a small community whose issues are representative at a national level.
