Silvia is a MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST with a background in THEATER, ARCHITECTURE and ADVERTISING GRAPHICS. Her projects revolve around installations and participatory, sensory, immersive performances, but not only, with a strong visual component from the visual arts, not by chance, because her childhood was surrounded by visual artists. Passionate about drawing, painting, collage, her works go beyond the visual arts field, with recent years dedicated to exploring immersive art through research projects focused on AUDIO/VIDEO AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.
She collaborated as an assistant alongside her sister, visual artist Natalia Roman, on various art installations in Berlin where she was also a graphic designer for various projects and exhibitions, both online and physical, collaborating with visual artists, playwrights, engineers, illustrators, actors, choreographers, theater, and film directors.
Her two passions, architecture and theater, merged in her final project at the architecture faculty with the project: Eco-touristic Site – Creation Camp in a protected natural area.
Mainly working as a theater director, Silvia has also conceived scenography projects, and currently, she has chosen to retreat from Bucharest to an area closer to nature, also her childhood place. 3 years ago she founded the Sub Stejar Cultural Association where projects take place predominantly outdoors, with an emphasis on the communion between humans and nature, sharing with young people respect for the environment. She enjoys collaborating and exploring various artistic levels with international artists with diverse cultural backgrounds. Thus, she has participated in various artistic residencies and workshops where she has established fruitful collaborations.
